About

The Guelph Male Choir sings it's greatest hits

The Guelph Male Choir was founded in October 1997 by Roy Connolly and Dr. Murdo McKinnon, motivated especially by their great love for choral singing in the Welsh male choir tradition.

As a non-auditioned community choir, membership is open to men of all ages and stages. The repertoire of the choir is chosen by the Director and now reflects a broad diversity of styles and genres; songs from Broadway shows, movies and operas, arrangements of folk songs, spirituals, Christmas carols and hymns.

The selections are prepared during weekly rehearsals (see below) and presented at two annual concerts - Christmas and Spring.

There is a modest fee for each term - September to early December and January to early May. Proceeds from concerts are donated to Unicef Canada, the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph and the Drop In Centre.

Rehearsals

Choir rehearsals are held at All Saints Lutheran Anglican Church, 210 Silvercreek Parkway North, Guelph on Wednesday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 pm from early September until a Concert in early December and from January to April for the closing concert in early May.
